Our 3-week sojourn into Morocco began in the north with Chefchaouen, then continued through the medieval, walled cities of Meknés and Fes. We took an overnight train to the bustling tourist hub, Marrakesh from which we booked a 4 day trip through the desert and gorge regions including Zagora and Merzouga. We ended our trip with a visit to the peaceful seaside town of Essaouira before returning to Marrakesh and the return home.
