Medicare.com Redesign
Site redesign and user research for eHealth’s Medicare business
Summary
eHealth purchased the domain Medicare.com in 2014 in an effort to augment its Medicare insurance business. The site had been created by an outside agency, but as the importance of the Medicare business increased to eHealth, I was assigned to the project to redesign and improve the site.
This new design fixed the problems of scalability and a hidden content structure that was inherent in the old design. I created a new modular structure that was flexible, scalable, and allowed content managers to quickly reconfigure site content based on seasonality, results from A/B testing, and evolving business needs. There was also a greater emphasis on re-categorizing the 400+ informational articles and exposing the content to the user in a simple, browsable format.
